Gastro tourism is actively developing in Ukraine. Recently, this is a worldwide and very popular trend that continues to gain momentum.
Of course, before it was possible to go to small farms for testing, but now it is official, certified, with informational support in the media, with PR abroad, with signs on the roads, with concern for the food safety of tourists and with ambitious, far-reaching plans.
The first wine and gastronomic routes in Ukraine were developed in the Odessa region within the framework of the EU project "Support for the development of system of geographical indications in Ukraine". They were united under the general name Road of Wine and Taste of Ukrainian Bessarabia.
The process of creating and debugging all the processes lasted 2 years, the results were successful and now similar routes are being developed in other regions.
Next is Transcarpathia, a presentation for tour operators took place in October 2020.
They will take guests along the routes in the tourist season 2021. There is also preparation of the Roads of Wine and Taste of Kherson, Mykolayevshcyna (in the future, these regional roads are plan to merge to one - the South Ukrainian wine and gastronomic route), Subcarpathia and Kryvorizhia.
