At the end of 2021, a record 244 million UAH of income from the tourist tax was sent to the state budget.
It is indicated that this amount is 87% more than in 2020 (UAH 130 million), and 20% more than in the pre-Covid 2019 (UAH 196 million).
The top 5 regions in terms of paying tourist tax included Kiev (UAH 68 million) and four regions:

Odessa region - (UAH 26.8 million);

Lviv region - (UAH 23 million);

Kievskaya region - (UAH 15.3 million);

Zakarpatska region - (UAH 11.7 million).
The most successful were the summer and autumn months. In summer, 35% of the total annual tourist tax was received, while in autumn - 40%.
