Montenegro's new national airline, Air Montenegro, will start operating in a week. Tickets for the first flight are already on sale.
The first flight - to the Serbian capital Belgrade - is scheduled for June 10. Currently, this is the only direction which Air Montenegro will operate flights from Podgorica and Tivat airports.
Before the first flight, Air Montenegro will also get the Montenegrin football team to Sarajevo on June 1.
Montenegrin authorities have created Air Montenegro to replace another national carrier, Montenegro Airlines, which ceased operations in 2020.
The new carrier inherited two Embraer E195LR aircraft - 40-AOA and 40-AOB.
The style of the new airline has not been determined yet, but it was decided not to postpone the launch of flights, so now the liver of Air Montenegro aircraft will be completely white.
In general, the launch of the new national airline of Montenegro took place at a record speed. After all, a little more than half a year has passed since the closure of Montenegro Airlines, and tickets for Air Montenegro flights have already gone on sale.
