According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, the number of Ukrainian tourists in Turkey in 2019 continues to grow rapidly. For example, in January-October 2019, 1 462 269 Ukrainians visited the country, which is 12.4% more than in the same period of 2018 (1 301 128 people).
The Ukrainian tourist flow is steadily increasing monthly. In October 2019 Turkey was visited by 137 362 tourists (an increase of 20.6%), which confirms the successful completion of the summer tourist season.
In the period from January to October 2019, the growth of tourist flow was recorded in all regions of the country. The resorts of the Mugla region (Fethiye, Maramaris, Bodrum, Dalaman) were visited by 200,619 Ukrainians, which is 13.6% more than the previous year. In October the region was visited by 13 549 (59% growth).
The most popular Turkish resort region of Antalya has received 795 306 tourists from Ukraine, which is 12% more than in 2018. The number of Ukrainians in October amounted to 72,120 travelers, up 22% from last year.
The Culture and Information Office of the Turkish Embassy in Ukraine expects that this year the flow of tourists from Ukraine to Turkey will cross the mark of 1.5 million people, as by the end of October the number of Ukrainians who visited Turkey exceeded the figures for the whole of 2018. And another two months to come, during which the Ukrainians will have the opportunity to visit the cultural capital of Turkey, the enigmatic Cappadocia and the ski resort of Erdzhies.
The statistics again prove the attractiveness of a holiday in Turkey throughout the year, as the country offers many opportunities for recreation.
