Over the past two years, Ukraine has risen 10 positions in the Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index and has taken 78th place there. This information was published by the World Economic Forum in the field of tourism.
“Ukraine had the fastest growth rate in the subregion, rising by 10 places and taking 78 place in the world. In particular, as the country stabilized and rebuilt, Ukraine dramatically improved its business environment (from 124 to 103 places), security (from 127 to 107th place), international openness (from 78th to 55th place) and general infrastructure (from 79th to 73rd place). "
Traditionally attractive to travelers are Spain (5.4 points), France (5.4 points), Germany (5.4 points), Japan (5.4 points) and the United States (5.3 points).
The most difficult to travel were Yemen (2.4 points), Chad (2.5 points) and Liberia (2.6 points).
The travel and tourism competitiveness index is calculated on the basis of 15 factors (business environment, safety, health and hygiene, human resources and the labor market, prices, infrastructure, natural, cultural resources, etc.).
The number of travelers in the world increased in 2018 by 1.4 billion people.
This year, the seventh consecutive year, the growth of tourism exports in the world (+ 4%) exceeded the growth rate of commodity exports (+ 3%).
According to such a rapid growth, international tourism revenues will reach $ 1.8 billion by 2030.
