UITM'2019. Whole world one exhibition!

2-4 October the 26th Ukraine International Travel Market - UITM'2019 has been held in Kyiv International Exhibition Center
 
 
Ukraine International Travel Market - UITM'2019 has welcomed guests from all over the world for the 26th  time. During October 2-4, 2019, foreign and domestic travel companies presented the most interesting routes in 25 countries. And more than 4,000 travel agents from all over Ukraine visited the exhibition and found new ideas for their tourists.
For the first time at UITM the national stand of Malaysia and participants from Portugal - Go Sagres – surfing tours – were presented. After a long break the China's national booth, as well as travel companies from Brazil, Peru, Lithuania and Vietnam, have returned to UITM.
In addition to the aforementioned tourist destinations, in 2019 national tourist organizations from Bulgaria, the Dominican Republic, Georgia, Egypt, India, Cuba, Palestine, Poland, Thailand and companies offering tours to the following countries: Italy, Cyprus, Slovakia, France, Hungary, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Japan - took part in the main exhibition of the  autumn and winter season.
148 domestic and foreign travel companies took part in the UITM, among them: ABK Travel – is a tour operator from Lithuania; Ada Tours - Brazil, Djoca Travel - France. There were also representatives from Japan - Tairiku Travel, Vietnam - Focus Travel, Cyprus - Luxury In The Sun, Portugal - Go Sagres, Italy - Larus Viaggi DMC, HungaryHunguest Hotels, HAJDÚSZOBOSZLÓ and many others.

For the second year cities and regions of Ukraine were represented in a special exposition of the Ukrainian Hospitality Days, decorated in an ecological style, taking into account the World Tourism Organization declared in 2017 course to «tourism for the purpose of sustainable development», which provides a careful attitude of the tourism industry to nature and ecology of the planet. For the first time within the framework of the Ukrainian Hospitality Days, Donetsk and Luhansk regions presented their own tourist product for the Ukrainian tourist.
In total, there were 25 cities and regions of Ukraine represented at the exhibition, among which separate stands of: Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Rivne, Sumy, Kryvyi Rih, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as 16 cities and regions at the joint stand of Ukraine organized by the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.
The rich and interesting business programme of the exhibition included more than 20 events, which attracted more than 2000 participants and listeners. For the first time, the following events were held at the exhibition:
•  On October 3, B2B WORKSHOP 10 x 10 took place – there were meetings between buyers – travel companies and cities and regions of Ukraine. At the workshop 10 cities and regions of Ukraine met with 10 international buyers from Azerbaijan, Great Britain, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Poland, Turkey, France, Czech Republic. The event was organized by Premier Expo, Kyiv Tourism Association, Tourism and Promotions Department of the executive body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration).
•  On October 3, UITM hosted an entirely new format - Market talk «Tokudidali?». At this event, the speakers were both tour operators and the most experienced travelers of Ukraine. They discussed with the representatives of travel agencies of Ukraine the pros and cons of organized and independent travel; inclusive tourism; secrets of visiting all the sights of big cities in a short period of time. In addition, the event featured a raffle among the most active listeners, and 2 air-tickets from Ernest Airlines Italy were been drawn! Organizers: Premier Expo

•  October  the 3rd  was also marked by the UITM Small Communities Heritage Day. Within the framework of this event there was roundtable discussion, dedicated to the conservation and wise use of heritage resources for the sake and in the context of the development of the country's tourism sector.
Traditionally, every year the National Tourist Organization of Ukraine conducts events to promote Ukraine as a tourist destination among representatives of domestic and foreign tourist markets. This year, there were such events as:
  • October 2 - networking of tourism cities and regions: «A new role for Destination Management Organizations (DMOs) in the sustainable development of territories»;
  • October 3 – seminar: «Ways of wine and taste of Ukrainian Bessarabia – the new tourist product of Odessa Region» (jointly with the European Commission Project «Supporting the geographical indications system in Ukraine» (GZ Project).
Anex Tour held seminars discussing the features of resorts, hotels, excursions to Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Pattaya and Phuket, the UAE, Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada. Zatoka Aquapark Hotel presented its complex and also issued a certificate of occupancy for attendants of the seminar, and Kryvyi Rih City Council presented industrial excursions to  Kryvbas.
Within the business programme of the exhibition Turismo Valencia presented Valencia as a Mediterranean urban Spanish destination, Ernest Airlines told about new opportunities for cooperation with travel agencies, Tripway.Com / Lufthansa Group shared its experience of working with reliable air partner.
On October 2, all exhibitors and visitors of the exhibition became the viewers of the best travel videos of Ukraine and UITM’s participating countries, organized by the Travel Press Club, Journalists Association.
had the opportunity to use new services that allow to spend the most productive time at the exhibition. Among them Telegram-bot and MatchMaking programme.
  • Telegram-bot allows visitors to register for visit and have all the necessary information about the exhibition in their phone: electronic badge, list of participants, contacts of organizers and programme of events.
  • MatchMaking is an online system for scheduling UITM exhibitors and attendees. The system allows you to get acquainted with the detailed information about participants and visitors of the exhibition, and even before the exhibition to make an appointment at a convenient day and time during the exhibition.
